Brumfield is a masterful storyteller

Jami Brumfield exhibits what every wannabe writer wishes for; a natural ability to tell a story. Her first published effort introduces complex characters that are attractive to readers whether they are 'good guys' or 'bad guys'. The great thing is that with a few of them, you're not entirely sure and it can go either way leaving multiple plot lines for Brumfield to develop by which to entertain readers. And entertain, she does! There is so much going on with Rebecca, her siblings, guardians, pack members, and other supernaturals all woven around and throughout the core of the story that it creates a full-fledged experience on a block-buster scale. Fans of this series will get more than their money's worth as they will want to read and re-read the Winters Series. Hey, this is only book one! I've had the privilege of checking out book two and part of book three - yes, they are on their way! I can tell you this, you'll never see it coming. Michele Gwynn ~ Author/Journalist/Editor

A Great Read!

I loved reading Lone Wolf Rising. It's a short quick read. Rebecca is a great strong character. When we meet her she has just woken up from her first night of changing into a werewolf. She quickly finds out that her whole pack has been killed and she becomes the new alpha. She is still in high school and has a lot of stuff to deal with. Her Grandmother has keep a major family secret from Rebecca and her siblings, Savannah and Hunter.
Lucky is a member of the Protectors, an elite supernatural police force. He helps to protect Rebecca and train her. Gabriel is a wolf and he recognizes Rebecca as his mate. Rebecca likes Lucky while her wolf wants Gabriel. I felt that Lucky was a more likable character then Gabriel. It took a little bit for me to warm up to Gabriel. I loved that we could read the inner dialogue that Rebecca had with her wolf.
The ending was crazy. I never expected that to happen. It definitely left me wanting to read the next one.
Lone Wolf Rising is a really great paranormal story. It has werewolves, vampires, witches, and other supernatural being all nicely put into one page turning story.

A Great Story Teller!

After reading Jami Brumfiled's short story, To Love A Dragon, I got a preview of what a great story teller she is.
I was excited to read Lone Wolf Rising and raced my way through it. Rebecca is the heroine in this story and
does something that changes her life and all of those around her. Thinking that what she does is the only solution
to help find her parents murderers, Rebecca enters the world of supernaturals. I loved Jami's imagination and all
of the variety of characters that she added. I also liked that the heroine was strong and wasn't afraid to voice her opinion.
There is a love triangle between Rebecca, Lucky and Gabriel that continues into her next book, Vampire Princess Rising.
I am excited to read the next book in this series and see what happens to all of these wonderful characters.
If you are looking for a great paranormal, light romance book, with a lot of action and a continuing story line, then I would
recommend reading Lone Wolf Rising.
