Good resource, decent read

When you finish this book you are not going to sit back in your chair and think to yourself "Holy @#$%, that was classic!", but you will enjoy the stories and you will find the information shared by the author useful if you are interested in bowhunting the backcountry. I am new to the sport and had read about the author on the internet, so I was excited to buy his book. For the most part I got what I wanted from it so I am not complaining, but at times the book seemed a bit unorganized and a little repetitive in places. But, if you don't try to read it like a novel and more like a bunch of short stories you will likely find it entertaining. Moreover, the author does get my respect for being passionate about his hobby and sitting down to write a book about it. He certainly inspired me to give the sport a try, and without a doubt, I finished the book with more knowledge of backcountry bowhunting than when I started. For that reason alone it was money well spent.

This is the story of a man who encounters his daughter's beautiful 18-year old friend Jo, who is immediately rude to him and disdainful of him. She's so beautiful and domineering, that he can't bring himself to argue with her. She's staying at his place for a while (along with the man's daughter, who normally lived with her mother, his ex-wife), until some problem at her home is fixed. Jo gets along famously with the man's younger wife Tina, and his daughter Bobbie and, although she makes the man feel small, he can't help but fantasize about what was under her tights and knickers.

The man finds a pair of discarded pantyhose with a pair of white panties inside them laying across a pipe. He knows that they belong to Jo, and he can't resist raising them to his face and inhaling deeply. That's how Jo finds him, with his nose in her worn panties. She calls him a little pervert, and wonders aloud what his young wife would think. Then she tells him to sniff them again. She tells him that he has two seconds to put the panties on, to cover his tiny little manhood with them, or she's going to expose and ruin him. Then she makes him put on the pantyhose, and tells him that with his long hair, he looks like a pretty girl. Just what I was looking for!!! Mountains of knowledge! Be your own nurse!!!

This book was required for my Nutrition class for the RN program. Before starting the class I had been searching for a book with FDA/RDA vitamins, minerals, supplements, conditions, and dosages. Well I shortly found out after getting my book in that this has EVERYTHING!!!! From BMI, health guidelines, etc, you name it, it's in here! This is the best way to know what you need to know, as these days you really have to be your own doctor before going to the doctor with the amount of prescription meds thrown at us! It doesn't matter who you are, this book will help you in every aspect of health that you can think of and is MORE than worth the price! You will learn more about conditions and nutrition than you can imagine from 1 textbook!

Great useful and conprehensive read.

Great and comprehensive book for soon to be nurses and medical/dietectics/nutrition classes and majors. Goes into great explanations and examples for how nutrition can work and heal your body and our current medical interventions for specific ailments and how the treat each with nutrition. The pathological expanded explanations make it applicable to real world medical examples and not just learning about nutrition basics

Great read, everyone looking to improve their health should consider this. It's not about dieting people, its just a diet.

This is an excellent read. I should state that I am in nursing school so much of the terminology is familiar. However, it does to an excellent job of breaking down the components of health, nutrients and diet so the reader can stop ODing on vitamin supplements and understand how to treat themselves better for their long-term health and goals.

A must have to all Miyazaki's fans! Great book!

Just received this book. It was delivered in a minion box, which is a plus. It already put a big smile on my face when I opened the mailbox.
A great book with tons of illustrations; quality paper, thick and smooth ; a lot of behind scene explanation involving film making and character creation.
I could not stop turning the pages. A must have if you are a Miyazaki or Studio Ghibli fan. This is the fast time I ever write a review about a product, within 10 minutes after opening up the package. I cannot wait to share with other fans. Please see my attached photos for your reference.

Beautifully put together art book.

This is a beautifully illustrated book, containing image stills from the movie, concept art, story boards, CGI work, and lots of interesting facts from the studio itself. This version is in English. As an artist, looking through art books gives me incredible motivation to create my own artwork, and being a HUGE fan of Spirited Away (well, Studio Ghibli in general), this book is amazingly inspirational. This book is without a doubt a treat for those who like to look at art books just to gaze at the eye candy, too! The pages are thick and sturdy, which a low gloss to them, making the coloration really pop in the images. I definitely recommend this for any fans of Spirited Away and/or Studio Ghibli!

A nice book for fans

As much as i liked the movie, i can't help to feel that the book fails to keep up to it's standard.
But don't get me wrong. The book is very complete in showing the work behind the movie, and does it neatly.

It starts with an introduction by the very same Hayao Miyazaki, and the follows with sketches, concept art, background art, character design, screenshots, and even the complete movie script.

The only critisims i could give is that the book itself feels a bit washed out. The design of the book doesn't keep up with the beautiful/folklore inpired art it is showing, plain white being the common concept from front to back cover. Maybe this isn't that important, but a preetier design would've sure make a nice adition (see Art of Okami).

That aside, a very nice book for fans of the movie.
